Software development in Mijas

Product engineering for Mijas and the hills above the coast, web apps and integrations with a partner based on the Costa del Sol.

Mijas

Mijas combines residential communities, hospitality, and local services along the coast and inland villages. We build web applications, integrations, and internal tools with the same direct-builder model we use across the Costa del Sol, clear scope, maintainable code, and realistic delivery plans. Many projects run well remotely; on-site meetings are possible when they add value.

Mijas covers residential communities, hospitality, and local services spread between the coast and the inland villages, so the practical constraint is often that the same system is used by people in very different settings.

What we build for businesses here

Four kinds of work make up most of what we are asked for. If your problem is not on this list, it is still worth describing.

  • Websites with a job to do

Booking, enquiry, and listing sites where what matters is what happens after someone submits the form, not the animation on the homepage.

    Web Design & Development
  • Internal tools and custom software

The spreadsheet three people edit at once, the process that lives in somebody’s inbox, the admin nobody wants to do twice. Rebuilt as software you own.

    Custom Software
  • Integrations between systems you already pay for

Your CRM, booking platform, and accounting connected so the same data stops being retyped between them, with the failure cases handled rather than ignored.

    Custom Software
  • AI where it removes work

Document handling, triage, drafting, and lookups, scoped to one task with a measurable before and after. Not a chatbot bolted onto the homepage.

How a project actually runs

The same four steps whether the build takes four weeks or four months.

  1. You describe the problem

A few paragraphs is enough: what breaks today, who it affects, and what you have already tried. There is no brief template to fill in first.

  2. We reply with questions, not a pitch

Clarifying questions or a short discovery call, never a generic pitch deck. If the honest answer is that an off-the-shelf tool already solves this, you get that answer.

  3. Written scope, assumptions, and a range

Phases, what is explicitly out of scope, and where the estimate is uncertain. You approve it before anything is built, and changes are priced openly rather than absorbed silently.

  4. Built in slices you can see

Working software during the build, not a reveal at the end. Handover includes the code, the documentation, and enough context for someone else to maintain it.

Prefer to talk it through?

A short call usually settles more than a form does. You reach the people who build the work, not an account manager.

Questions about working with us locally

Do you work with community and property administrators?
Yes. That work is usually record-keeping, communication, and reporting rather than anything exotic, and it benefits more from being reliable and boring than from being clever.
Can a system work for both our coastal and inland sites?
It should, and it is worth saying so at scoping time. Multi-site assumptions are cheap to design in and expensive to retrofit once the first site is live.
How far away are you?
Around an hour from our base in Manilva, so on-site work is practical for scoping and reviews.
